- Members shall attend MADS activities with their Darling(s). A spouse, friend, relative, or regular caregiver may attend in the member’s place under the following situations:
- A member is unable to attend due to employment commitments.
- A Member has an emergency, illness, or parental circumstance prohibiting her (but not the Darling) from attending.
- When a Member plans to send a Darling to a MADS activity with a caregiver, the Member must inform the host prior to the activity and provide emergency contact number.
- Caregivers shall refrain from attending MADS activities when the Member is attending the activity with her Darling(s), unless circumstances merit the additional assistance. In such cases, the Member must contact the host prior to attending the playgroup, as many hosts do not have the facilities to accommodate the additional attendants.
- Though Members may attend any and all playgroups, for safety and social reasons, it shall be the responsibility of the Member to make a conscious effort to attend only the most appropriate playgroup for their Darling according to age and/or developmental stage.
- Members shall be discouraged from bringing siblings to playgroup whose ages fall substantially out of the parameters of the playgroup guidelines. If circumstances merit the attendance of the sibling, the Member must contact the host prior to attending as many hosts do not have the facilities to accommodate siblings.
- It is the responsibility of the Member to mind their Darling(s) and respect the property of the playgroup host.
- Members shall be mindful and respectful of the established playgroup dates and times.
- Members shall RSVP for all social events unless specifically stated otherwise. Members who do not reply shall not expect to be informed of cancellations or changes in time or venue.
- Members shall RSVP for MADS social events within the published time restraints. Those not doing so shall understand late inclusion may not be possible.
- Members responding their intention to attend a MADS event shall do their utmost to do so or to notify the organizer in advance if canceling. The committee reserves the right to take any action deemed appropriate or necessary regarding persistent no-shows.
- Members [or caregiver] shall not leave darlings unattended at any MADS activities, playgroups or social events. Any member doing so may be expelled at the discretion of the Committee.
- Members shall not use any documentation or publication issued by MADS for financial gain or for purpose of solicitation. Any member doing so may be expelled at the discretion of the Committee.
- Members shall assume responsibility for the safety of their Darling(s) at all MADS activities.
- All emails to the whole of the membership should be forwarded to the president for distribution to the membership. Group coordinators shall forward emails regarding individual playgroup details to their respective groups.
